B2B Software Company — Germany

Challenge

The client's core product had grown over several years into a large, tightly coupled application. Releases were infrequent and risky, deployments were largely manual, and a growing backlog of customer requests was competing with the need to pay down technical debt. With a small in-house team in Germany, they needed extra engineering capacity that could work to European quality and data-protection standards, overlap with their working hours, and take real ownership rather than just close tickets.

Solution

We set up a dedicated team of backend, frontend and DevOps engineers in Bengaluru that worked as an extension of the client's own team, with shared sprints, code reviews and documentation. The engagement covered: • Breaking the monolith into well-defined services around the most frequently changing parts of the product • Building new REST APIs in Python (Django / FastAPI) and modernising the web front end in React • Containerising the application with Docker and moving it to a managed Kubernetes environment • Automated CI/CD pipelines with test gates, so every change is built, tested and deployed the same way • Monitoring, logging and alerting, plus GDPR-conscious handling of customer data We planned the migration in stages so existing customers were never disrupted, and overlapped our working day with Central European Time for daily collaboration.

Outcome

The client moved from infrequent, manual releases to a regular, automated release cycle, with far less effort and risk per deployment. The new service-based architecture made it easier to deliver customer-requested features, and better monitoring means issues are spotted and fixed before customers notice. The Bengaluru team continues to work with the client as a long-term engineering partner on new product features and platform improvements.
