We're looking for a Software Engineer who enjoys building clean, reliable backend systems in Python. You'll work on production services and APIs built with Django and FastAPI that power our HRMS and client platforms, shipping features end to end alongside product, frontend and DevOps. This role suits someone with 1-3 years of hands-on Python experience who wants real ownership, thoughtful code reviews and a fast learning curve.
Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain REST APIs using Django, Django REST Framework and FastAPI
- Write clean, well-tested Python code with unit and integration tests
- Model data and write efficient queries in PostgreSQL / MySQL
- Integrate third-party services, payment gateways and internal microservices
- Build background jobs and async workflows with Celery and Redis
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions and sprint planning
- Debug and resolve production issues together with the DevOps team
Requirements
- 1-3 years of professional experience building backend applications in Python
- Solid working knowledge of Django or FastAPI (both is a plus)
- Good understanding of REST API design, HTTP and authentication (JWT / OAuth)
- Comfortable with SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL)
- Experience with Git and a pull-request based workflow
- Ability to write readable code and clear technical notes
- B.E. / B.Tech / MCA in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
