Senior DevOps / Cloud Engineer

Overview

We're looking for a Senior DevOps / Cloud Engineer to own our cloud platform end to end. You'll design resilient infrastructure on Kubernetes, lead our Infrastructure as Code practice, and make deployments, scaling and incident response boring in the best possible way. This role is for an engineer with 4-6 years of experience who has run production workloads at scale and can mentor others on reliability and security.

Responsibilities

• Design and operate highly available infrastructure on GCP / AWS and Kubernetes
• Own Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and review all infra changes
• Build secure, fast CI/CD pipelines with automated testing and rollbacks
• Define SLOs, monitoring, alerting and on-call runbooks
• Lead incident response and blameless post-mortems
• Optimise cloud costs and capacity planning
• Implement security best practices: IAM, secrets management, network policies
• Mentor DevOps engineers and guide developers on cloud-native practices

Requirements

• 4-6 years of experience in DevOps, SRE or cloud engineering roles
• Strong production experience with Kubernetes (GKE, EKS or AKS)
• Expert-level Terraform or equivalent Infrastructure as Code
• Deep knowledge of at least one major cloud (GCP or AWS)
• Experience with databases in production (PostgreSQL, Redis) including replication and backups
• Solid scripting skills in Bash and Python
• Track record of improving reliability and deployment speed
